What We Do

Founded in January 2014, Rukundo International (RI) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) that works as a partner and advocate for Kyanamira, a small rural community in the Kabale District of Southwest Uganda. We focus primarily on women and children to help ensure the community will have the necessary resources to reach their full potential.

Our projects are developed collaboratively with local government officials, community leaders, and the people of Kyanamira, considering sustainability as a critical element.

How We Work

Rukundo Preparatory School is the flagship program of Rukundo International. Our school provides primary education for over 100 children and works as a home base for our community center.

RI helps orphans, financially distressed families, and at-risk youth. While there is work to be done in many places around the globe, we chose to focus on rural Uganda, where children and families are significantly impacted by poverty and the inability to access educational resources.
